Copyright and Content Removal Policy
How we aim to respect original work, respond to rights concerns and evaluate requests about material published on our website.
Respect for other people’s work
fishing-licenses.org/ publishes original explanations and references to public regulations, agency instructions and other source documents. We aim to cite and link to sources rather than copy substantial third-party works into our pages without permission or an applicable legal basis.
Public availability does not automatically mean every photograph, map, chart, logo or passage can be reused freely. Rights may vary by country, creator, publication and license. If you believe a work has been used improperly on our site, we welcome a sufficiently detailed notice for review.
Where to send a copyright notice
Send copyright-related inquiries or notices to contact@fishing-licenses.org with the subject Copyright notice — fishing-licenses.org/. Please make sure the site’s editorial mailbox is operational before relying on this contact route.
To help us locate and assess the issue, provide:
- Your name and a reliable contact method, plus your relationship to the rights holder.
- A description of the copyrighted work and, if available, its original publication or authorized URL.
- The exact URL on fishing-licenses.org/ where the allegedly infringing content appears.
- An explanation of the material at issue and why you believe the use is unauthorized.
- A good-faith statement about the claimed lack of authorization and an accurate statement that the information you submit is true and that you are entitled to act for the rights holder.
- Any signature or additional information required by the applicable legal notice process.
Our review process
- Identify the content. Locate the URL, image, passage, PDF or other element named in the notice.
- Assess the information. Review ownership assertions, permissions, source context and applicable exceptions or defenses.
- Take appropriate action. Depending on the circumstances, add attribution, replace content, remove content, request clarification or decline a request with a reason.
- Document the outcome. Retain necessary correspondence and, where appropriate, notify affected parties about significant changes.
Reports are reviewed individually. We do not promise that every request will automatically result in removal, and this page is not a substitute for legally prescribed notice or counter-notice procedures.
Requests that are not about copyright
Requests to fix an inaccurate fishing fee, update an agency link or correct a regulatory detail should follow our Corrections and Updates Policy. Privacy questions should follow the Privacy Policy. Other editorial concerns can be sent using Contact Us.
We do not remove factual public-source references simply because someone dislikes their inclusion. We do consider accuracy, privacy, rights, context and applicable law when assessing a legitimate complaint.
